Deriving their name from the quote “Until the day we meet our last enemy, which is death itself” unique Sydney-based metal outfit Our Last Enemy produce music evocative of the fine lines which exist between the unseen and the seen, oblivion and nirvana, and the ceaseless ebb and flow of the waves of fortune which shape our existence.

Their sonic synergy of cascading synths, heavy riffs and roaring, haunting vocals are reminiscent of the concept of yin and yang – the contrast between light and dark – neither of which can exist without the other. With music more akin to that of a soundtrack or theatrical score, the inimitable industrial ensemble have been resurrected …and like that which inspires their name, their sound conjures sentiments reflective of the torrents underpinning both the beauty and brutality of life, and death.
The apocalypse begins…

With influences such as Rammstein, Fear Factory, NiN and Korn, Our Last Enemy have drawn inspiration from the eclectic genre-bending sounds of their contemporaries. The unique incorporation of elements from a variety of other sub-genres in order to brashly bend, blend or stay true to conventional styles of metal has resulted in the creation of their distinct array of music.
Most notably, elements of Progressive metal, Groove-metal, Electronica and even symphonic and orchestral sounds have been incorporated into the band’s iconic soundscape; an approach which makes it difficult to sanction the band into any single sub-genre. However, when how the band would best describe their style, the resounding answer is, “We’re Industrial Metal”, plain and simple.

Relocating to L.A. in 2011 to record their debut album, ‘Fallen Empires’ (Riot!/Warner) which was produced by Christian Olde Wolbers (Ex-Fear Factory) reached #1 on the iTunes Metal charts (Australia) and the Metal Forge declared it to be “One very powerful album.” Their follow-up EP ‘Wolves of Perigord, and a remix album, ‘Engineering the Enemy’, both hit #2 on the charts.

In 2014 Our Last Enemy released their debut North American album “Pariah,” and signed to Eclipse Records. “Pariah,” received critical acclaim landing Revolver Magazine’s ‘Best New Release’ and ‘Album of the Week’, propelling the band into heavy airtime across North America. Single ’10,000 Headless Horses’ hit #11 on the U.S. Radio Rock charts and was a featured track in MTV’s ‘Rock Band’ video game for Xbox.

Most recently the band dropped the EP’s ‘As Above So Below’ & ‘As Within So Without’ both mixed by ARIA-nominated producer D.W. Norton (Superheist, Alchemist, Sydonia, Frankenbok, Frenzal Rhomb, Mindsnare) and features legendary skinsman John Sankey (Fear Factory, Divine Heresy, Devil You Know, Devolved) on drums. The EP’s received rave 10/10 reviews and garnered national airplay & coverage with features on Heavy Mag, Hysteria Mag, Maniacs, Triple J & Triple MMM, with ‘AASB’ hitting 26 on the Aria independent charts and the tracks ‘Never Coming Back’ and ‘The Holy Ones’ landing on The Factions ‘Hardest 100’ 2020 countdown. ‘Never Coming Back’ also featured on the soundtrack to the TROMA film ‘Eating Miss Campbell’.

Having shared the stage with Machine Head, Fear Factory, Cradle of Filth, Static X, Combichrist, Perturbator, Powerman 5000, Dope, Prong, Mnemic & Pain, Our Last Enemy are seasoned performers and a force to be reckoned with in the live arena.
